A group of 5 men opened fire on IDF troops operating in the buffer zone near the Yarmouk River, in the Syrian Golan Heights. Troops called in an airstrike that eliminated the 5 attackers. No troops were hurt. The Air Force also struck Syrian military air bases deeper into Syria. The bases have previously been used by Iranian forces. The air bases were also targeted over the weekend. Israeli officials said the operations were part of a broader effort to maintain air superiority and prevent a renewed military buildup in Syria. Yesterday, the IDF eliminated Hamas sniper Hossam Shabat in Gaza, who posed as an Al Jezeera journalist and had millions of social media followers. The IDF also eliminated a Hezbollah commander in southern Lebanon yesterday.
Today, a terrorist attempted to ram a police officer on the road connecting Jerusalem and Ma’ale Adumim, but was stopped at a road block when he attempted to flee, and shot by police. No police were injured.
Last night, a ballistic missile was launched from Yemen, which triggered sirens throughout central Israel and stopped take offs and landings at Ben Gurion Airport. The missile was intercepted before entering Israeli airspace. Shrapnel fell on Highway 4 in the Holon area and near a fire station in Beit Shemesh.
Hamas released a new video Monday afternoon showing proof of life from hostages Elkana Bohbot, 35, and Yosef-Chaim Ohana, 24. The men, clearly under coercion, plead to be released and demand that the government stop the war. The video is professionally produced by Hamas as part of their psychological warfare. The Knesset today approved Israel’s 2025 state budget, totaling approximately 620 billion shekels, which includes significant increases in defense spending and coalition-related allocations.
