News Update
A lot has happened over the weekend, with the joint U.S. and Israeli operation against Iran continuing. Israel is calling the operation Roaring Lion and U.S. is calling it Epic Fury. Israeli aircraft eliminated Iran’s Supreme Leader, along with 39 of Iran’s senior military and regime leaders. Israeli aircraft have run thousands of bombing runs against Iranian targets along with U.S. forces, and will likely continue as the operation attempts to destroy Iran’s nuclear and ballistic missile capabilities and to enable a regime change.
Hezbollah decided to get in the fight yesterday and fire a few rockets at Israel. In response, the IDF has tried multiple targets in Lebanon and eliminated senior terrorists in Beirut, included Hezbollah’s intelligence chief. The IDF has called up over 100,000 reservists. Strikes against Hezbollah are continuing currently.
Thus far, the Israel Air Force has struck of 600 Iranian regime terror targets, using around 2,500 munitions.
An Iranian ballistic missile hit Beersheba today, lightly wounding 18 people. An Iranian ballistic missile hit a bomb shelter in Beit Shemesh yesterday, killing 9, including siblings Yakov Biton (16) and his 2 sisters Avigail (15) and Sarah (13). Iran continues to fire missiles at civilian targets in Israel, almost all of which are being intercepted.
Today is the Fast of Esther, which commemorates the fast that Esther proclaimed in preparation for her entrance into the king’s court to plead for the salvation of the Jewish people. Tonight begins the holiday Purim, which commemorates our salvation from Haman and our victory over those Persians who tried to obliterate us. Sound familiar?
