News Update
Hezbollah planned to launch 500-600 rockets towards northern Israel and dozens of UAVs towards central areas yesterday. The IDF acted preemptively and 100 air force fighter planes struck Hezbollah launching sites. Thousands of rockets were destroyed. Hezbollah did manage to fire over 200 rockets and some drones, but they were all either intercepted or fell in open areas. Some damage was caused by debris from Iron Dome interceptions.
First Sgt. David Moshe Ben Shitrit, 20, from the settlement of Geva Binyamin, was killed by shrapnel from an intercept missile that landed on the navy vessel he was on. Two other soldiers were wounded in the incident.
Hezbollah claimed victory and announced that it was done with retaliation against Israel for the killing of its military commander in Beirut last month. Now the question is whether Iran will attack. intelligence sources believe that Iran will not launch a large direct attack against Israel, but might focus on trying to assassinate a high level Israeli official.
Hamas has, again, rejected a U.S. backed ceasefire proposal that has been accepted by Israel. Hamas fired a rocket at Rishon Letzion yesterday, that fell in a field outside of the city.

Two terrorists who attempted to ram their car into IDF soldiers at the Ariel junction yesterday were killed by security forces at the scene.
