The Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar, known for its very close ties to Hezbollah, reported that Iran has instructed Hezbollah to escalate its actions against Israel, even if it leads to a full-scale war. Meanwhile, 3 anti-tank missiles were fired at the northern town of Misgav Am this morning, hitting and damaging 1 house. No one was injured. Several attack drones were also intercepted. The air force continues to strike Hezbollah targets in Lebanon.
The IDF has taken control of the main road that bisects Rafah, effectively surrounding the eastern part of the city. Intense fighting is reported in eastern Rafah. IDF forces are also operating against Hamas in central Gaza. Hamas fired 2 rockets at the Kerem Shalom border crossing today. According to UNICEF, at least 100,000 people have already left Rafah.
In an unusual incident, an IDF tank ran over a hornets nest in southern Gaza, literally. Twelve soldiers were stung, some hundreds of times.
Hamas said that it is refusing to budge from its demands for releasing the hostages. Israel has already rejected these demands as unacceptable.
