Hezbollah fired 100 rockets, in 2 barrages, at northern Israel including Haifa. Several buildings in the northern city of Kiryat Yam were damaged after being struck by a rocket. A 71-year-old woman sustained minor to moderate injuries from shrapnel. Dozens of rockets were intercepted.
The IDF today confirmed the killing of Suhail Hussein Husseini, the head of Hezbollah’s logistics network, in an airstrike in Beirut yesterday. He played a key role in facilitating arms transfers between Iran and Hezbollah, overseeing the distribution of smuggled weapons to different units within the terrorist group, and managing transportation and resource allocation. IDF forces continue to strike Hezbollah targets from the air and on the ground. The U.S. has reportedly stopped trying to pursue a ceasefire agreement between ISrael and Hezbollah and is, instead, trying to limit the scope of Israel’s operation.
Staff Sergent Noam Israel Abdu, 20, a soldier in the Infantry Corps squad commanders training’s 17th Battalion who previously served in the Golani Brigade’s 12th Battalion, from Kadima Zoran, was killed fighting in northern Gaza.
Hamas leader Sinwar reportedly made contact with Qatar in recent days, meaning that he’s still alive and functioning.
Delegations from Hamas and Fatah met in Cairo yesterday, to attempt to reach a reconciliation agreement.
