Hezbollah fired at least 20 rockets towards Haifa bay today, damaging a three-story building in Kiryat Bialik. Over the past day, the Israeli Air Force has struck more than 200 Hezbollah terrorist targets in southern Lebanon and deep within Lebanon, including terrorist cells, anti-tank missile posts, and surface-to-surface missile launchers. Ground troops are also destroying Hezbollah targets, eliminating terrorists and discovering tunnels containing vasts amounts of weaponry and supplies. In Gaza, IDF troops are continuing operational activity in the Jabaliya area and have eliminated dozens of terrorists over the past day. Troops are also operating in central and southern Gaza.
The IDF has announced the death of Sergeant Koren Bitan, 19, from Rosh Haayin. He was part of the 450th Battalion’s squad commanders course in the Bislamach Brigade and had served in the 94th “Duchifat” Battalion of the Kfir Brigade. He was killed in combat in the southern Gaza Strip.
A terrorist opened fire at vehicles on Highway 4 in the south, near the Yavne South interchange, killing a police officer and injuring 4 other people. The terrorist, who was originally from the Jabaliya neighborhood in Gaza, was neutralized.
Security forces killed 2 terrorists and arrested 3 others in a counter-terror operation in Jenin today. Twenty other terror suspects were arrested in overnight raids.
According to a report by the Washington Post, Prime Minister Netanyahu has informed U.S. officials that Israel’s response to Iran will not target nuclear or oil facilities, but will instead focus on military objectives. Israel has said that the response to Iran will be substantial.
According to a London Financial Times report, Israel faces a critical shortage of interceptor missiles. Israel’s defense production lines, particularly for the Arrow interceptors, are operating 24/7 to replenish stocks. For more, click here.
A U.S. military advance team, along with the initial equipment required to operate the THAAD missile defense system, has arrived in Israel. Additional U.S. military personnel and equipment will be deployed in the coming days to ensure the system becomes fully operational.
The Arab American Political Action Committee announced that it will not endorse Kamala Harris or Donald Trump for president because of their support for the “criminal” Israeli government and because, “Both candidates have endorsed genocide in Gaza and war in Lebanon.”
