IDF forces continue to operate in Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis. According to information from an interrogation of captured Hamas terrorists, at least 10 hostages were held in the hospital, along with the bodies of dead hostages. Hamas terrorists operated from the hospital.
The IDF and Shin Bet eliminated Hamas terrorist Ahmed Ghoul, commander of Hamas’ Shati Battalion, who held 19-year-old IDF soldier Corporal Noa Marciano hostage before she was murdered in captivity, in Shifa hospital, in November.
A terrorist opened fire on people at a bus stop at the Masmiya junction near Gedera, killing 2 and wounding 4. A civilian passing the scene exited his vehicle and fired at the terrorist, neutralizing him. The terrorist acted alone. Police Commissioner Yaakov Shabtai and National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir arrived at the scene shorty after the attack.
Staff Sgt. Noam Haba, 20, of the Paratroopers Brigade’s 202nd Battalion, from Jerusalem, was killed fighting in southern Gaza. Nine other soldiers were wounded in the same battle, 3 seriously.

At least 15 anti-tank missiles and rockets were fired at Kiryat Shemonah last night. No casualties were reported. The IDF continues to strike Hezbollah targets in Lebanon.
The Prime Minister’s Office rejected the US effort to establish a Palestinian state, saying that the only objective now was total victory over Hamas and the return of the hostages, and that any discussion of what will happen afterwards would take place after victory is achieved. Prime Minister Netanyahu spoke by phone with President Biden yesterday.
CIA Director William Burns went to Israel yesterday to meet with the Prime Minister after Netanyahu’s decision to hold back the Israeli delegation from traveling to Cairo for talks on a new hostage release deal with Hamas. For more, click here.
