Hezbollah drones exploded over Rosh Pina and an open area near the Kinneret today. Overnight, Hezbollah fired over 20 rockets at Safed. Some fires were caused in the surrounding area. Most of the rockets were intercepted. No damage was reported.
Lebanese media reported on Friday that Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar sent a telegram to Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah thanking him for his support in the Gaza war and for his condolence message after the assassination of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran in July. For more, click here.
Israel reportedly informed the U.S. ahead of its attack against a Hezbollah missile production facility near Masyaf in northwest Syria, in which commandos were used on the ground to plant explosives and arrest several Iranian operatives. Since the facility was deep underground, airstrikes alone would be insufficient to destroy it.
The commander of Israel’s elite intelligence Unit 8200, Brig. Gen. Yossi Sariel, resigned on Thursday, accepting responsibility for the unit’s failure in the October 7 Hamas attack.
