An IDF drone strike killed 4 Hezbollah terrorists at a checkpoint on the road between Damascus and Beirut. The strike came hours after another airstrike hit a pickup truck carrying weapons in northeast Lebanon near the Syrian border.
The IDF launched a major counterterrorism operation in refugee camps near Jenin, Tulkarm, and the Far’a camp in the Jordan Valley early today. At least 11 terrorists have been reportedly killed, most in Jenin. Hundreds of soldiers, supported by air cover, are participating in the operation. Troops have encircled local hospitals, to prevent terrorists from taking refuge there.
Farhan Alkadi, who was rescued Tuesday from a Hamas tunnel in southern Gaza, revealed that he spent most of his captivity in the dark and subsisted on bread and didn’t eat every day. Being a Muslim fluent in Arabic made no difference to Hamas — he was treated just like any other Israeli captive. He also revealed that another hostage held with him died in captivity. Staff Sgt. Amit Friedman, 19, from Or Yehuda, a soldier in the Nahal Brigade’s 932nd Battalion, was killed in combat in southern Gaza.
