Sgt. First Class Yehuda Geto, 22, a combat driver from Pardes Hanna-Karkur, was killed and another soldier was seriously wounded by a roadside bomb in the Nur Shams refugee camp, near Tulkarm, this morning.
IDF soldiers killed in Gaza:
Sgt. Ori Itzchak Hadad, 21, of the Nahal Brigade’s 931st Battalion, from Beersheba.
Master Sgt. (res.) Nadav Elchanan Knoller, 30, a platoon sergeant in the 8th Reserve Armored Brigade’s 121st Battalion, from Jerusalem.
Maj. (res.) Eyal Avnion, 25, a deputy company commander in the 8th Reserve Armored Brigade’s 121st Battalion, from Hod Hasharon.
Civilians are evacuating Khan Yunis after the IDF directed them to do so. Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists fired 20 rockets from Khan Yunis at southern Israel yesterday. The evacuation order could indicate a forthcoming major IDF operation in the city.
The Israel Electric Company will provide electricity to power Gaza’s water desalination and sewage system. The decision was approved by Defense Minister Gallant and the government, on humanitarian grounds. Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and some other ministers strongly opposed the decision.
Liora, the mother of rescued hostage Noa Argamani, died today after her battle with cancer. Noa was by her side in her final days.
