News Update
A terrorist stabbed and killed a 70 year old man and wounded at least 4 others in the central bus terminal in Haifa today. The terrorist, a 20 year old Druze resident of the northern Arab city of Shfar’am, and also a German national, was shot and killed by a security guard at the scene.
Several freed hostages, including Eli Sharabi, Omer Shem Tov, Yair Horn, Keith and Aviva Siegel, Doron Steinbacher, and Naama Levy, will be traveling to Washington to meet with President Trump on Tuesday and other U.S. officials.
With the ceasefire agreement already expired, Israel is deliberating wether to resume combat operations in Gaza or to wait a few days and try to form a new agreement to extend the ceasefire in exchange for the release of more hostages. Israel has stopped all humanitarian aid from entering Gaza, because Hamas is stealing the aid. Meanwhile, the Houthis are threatening to attack…again.
Doron Bokobza, 29, a resident of Be’er Sheva and a technician, is accused of initiating contact with Iran and offering to sell its agents information, including claims that he had “access to the Nuclear Research Center” in Dimona. The indictment filed against him accuses him of contact with a foreign agent and transferring information to the enemy. Bokobza was arrested last month as part of a joint operation by the police and the Shin Bet.
Russia has invited Israel to its annual Victory Day parade in Moscow, commemorating the defeat of Nazi Germany, that will be held in Red Square on May 9. russia will not be inviting what it calls “unfriendly states”, including Nato members and other democracies.
