Overnight, an Israeli Air Force “Yanshuf” helicopter, called to evacuate an injured soldier for medical treatment, crashed while attempting to land in the Rafah area, killing 2 soldiers and injuring 5. The soldiers killed were Sgt. Maj. (res.) Daniel Alloush, 37 years old, from Tel Aviv-Yafo, and Sgt. Maj (res.) Tom Ish-Shalom, 38 years old, from Nes Harim, both from the Special Rescue Tactical Unit (669). The crash was not caused by enemy fire.

A Hezbollah anti-tank missile hit a structure in Kibbutz Dan in northern Israel, injuring at least 1 person. Israel truck at least 30 Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon.

A terrorist driving a truck carrying hazardous materials attempted to run over troops at a bus stop near the settlement of Beit El today. At least 1 person was hurt in the attack. The terrorist was shot and wounded by troops. Hamas released a statement praising the attack.

The Bedouin clan to which the terrorist who killed 3 Israelis on the Allenby Bridge Crossing this week belonged said, “What our son has done was the natural response of a zealous person and patriotism to his Arab country in front of the ongoing crimes Israel commits against the Palestinian people in Gaza.” The clan is located in southern Jordan and is loyal to the Jordanian government. According to Western intelligence, Iran is testing long range ballistic missiles within the country, in preparation for another potential attack against Israel. For more, click here. 

Hostages Sergeant Ron Sherman, Corporal Nik Beizer, and Elia Toledano, whose bodies were rescued by the IDF in December, suffocated to death as a result of a gas leak in the tunnel where they were held as a result of an IDF attack, according to an IDF investigation.
