Operation Roaring Lion continues into its 3rd week. Israeli aircraft struck hundreds of Iranian targets over the weekend, including in Tehran, where they destroyed the plane used by the supreme leader for military coordination and procurement activities. Israeli officials said that continued attacks, along with the U.S., are planned for at least another 3 weeks.
Iran launched additional missile attacks at Israel today, including cluster munitions that fell in central Israel. Impact sites and shrapnel damage were reported in Rishon LeZion, Shoham, Lod and along Highway 431. Emergency services responded to multiple locations, though most missiles were intercepted and only property damage was reported.
On the northern front, the IDF expanded ground operations against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. Troops from the 91st Division pushed deeper into border villages to destroy rocket infrastructure threatening northern Israel. Defense Minister Israel Katz said the goal is to prevent Hezbollah from reestablishing positions near the border and to create a stronger security buffer for Israeli communities.
Israel’s Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism Ministry on Sunday released new details about a group believed to be behind a series of recent attacks on Jewish sites across Europe. According to the ministry, the organization known as Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamia is suspected of orchestrating incidents, including the arson of a synagogue in Rotterdam, the Netherlands and the detonation of an explosive device outside a synagogue in Liège, Belgium. Officials added that there are suspected links to pro-Iranian networks.
