Stories of horror and bravery are beginning to emerge from the hostages about their time in captivity. Hostages were beaten, starved, tortured, shackled, kept in cages and pits, denied any human contact for most or all of their captivity. The 1,968 security prisoners released by Israel experienced non of the horrors of Hamas captivity and are doing just fine (their bellies nice and full), assuming they don’t get executed by Hamas. Meanwhile, President Trump warned that if Hamas continues their killing, the U.S. “will have no choice but to go in and kill” them.

Released hostage Matan Angrest asked IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir to reinstate him as an active-duty soldier in the IDF, during a visit Zamir made to the hospital where Angrest is recovering from his 2 years in captivity. Matan served in a tank crew when he was taken captive on October 7.

The Israeli Air Force yesterday carried out strikes in southern Lebanon and the Beqaa Valley, targeting infrastructure that Hezbollah was rebuilding in violation of the understandings underlying last year’s ceasefire.
